Product Description
Type | Vintage fountain pen with unique filling system |
Product Name | Unknown |
Manufacturer and Year | Chilton, Boston Mass. They introduced this sleeved, sliding barrel filling system in 1923 and replaced it with another style in 1929, so this pen would have been produced during those six years. |
Length | 4-1/2" |
Filling System |
Pneumatic filling system. You slide out the end of the barrel, immerse the nib in ink, hold your finger over the hole in the end of the barrel, and push down. This pressurizes the sac and when the pressure is released, ink is sucked into the sac. The pen has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens with a new silicone sac. |
Color | Jade green with gold filled trim. The color is very good, with a dark area here and there. |
Nib | Flexible medium-fine Chilton nib. Very smooth. Not quite full flex. |
Condition
|
Really excellent condition. No cracks, chips or scratches. Light hand wear only. No brassing on the trim. Fully guaranteed. Send it back for a refund if you don't like it, but it needs to be in the same condition as received. |
