Type Crescent filling vintage fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Crescent 2NL as identified by the imprint (Trade Mark 2NL) at the end of the barrel. The 2 is for nib size, and the "NL" stands for "Non-leakable" which refers to the additional cap lining.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, made in Toledo, Ohio -- 1920s.
Length Just over 5-1/4 inches.
Filling System Crescent filler. We've restored it with a new sac and its working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber (BCHR) with a gold filled crescent and clip. Discolored to a dark brownn.
Nib FLEXIBLE EXTRA FINE Conklin Toledo #2 nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It is flexible enough for good line variation and has really great hairlines. Please see the writing below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The imprints and chasing are perfect. The hard rubber has lightened but is quite even in color. Very little wear. There are some scratches on the back of the crescent. We've restored the pen and it's working very well.
