Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen set in box.
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Criterion, USA - circa 1920s. We weren't able to find out much about this pen maker, but it's obvious this was one of the many third tier companies from the 1920s.
Length 5-1/2" (pen, with the pencil a little shorter).
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working well. The pencil takes 1.1mm lead.
Color Gold filled or plated with a checkerboard pattern.
Nib FULL FLEX FINE Warranted 14k gold nib. This is a soft feeling nib which flexes with little or no pressure, very close to full flex. The tipping is a bit scarce, but there's still enough to keep it smooth and writing well. Really easy line variation from a fine to a double broad line. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition, despite very thin plating on the pen's cap and the pencil. No cracks, chips, or personalization. It's restored and working well.
