Product Description
Type Very small sized fountain pen and pencil set in original box.
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Echo - circa 1920s or '30s.
Length Pen is 2-7/16", pencil is 2-3/4" (measurements do not include ringtop hardware).
Filling System Eyedropper filler (we'll include instructions on filling eyedropper pens). The pencil takes 1.1mm (or "thick") leads which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism (you twist the cone).
Color Black hard rubber with gold plated trim.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM nib is only marked 14k. It's a VERY small nib but in nice condition, smooth with tipping that appears a little uneven probably because it was so darn hard to tip these itsy bitsy nibs! Fairly smooth and fully flexible with easy line variation from medium to a large broad.
Condition Excellent condition. There's just a little discoloration on parts of both barrels and on the pen's cap where the hard rubber has lightened a little. No real scratching, chips, or cracks, and no brassign is apparent. The pen is working very well, but the pencil is not working perfectly. (The mechanism which advances the leads is operating, but there's an obstruction in the tip which makes it hard to insert a lead without breaking it.)
