Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unknown. Eclipse was a prolific pen maker and didn't bother to name most of their models.
Manufacturer and Year Eclipse, made in USA -- 1930s.
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've fully restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black plastic with a lined pattern with smooth squares interrupting the lines. It has a narrow cap band and a long clip. The trim is gold filled.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM 14k Eclipse NY nib is smooth and somewhat flexible, with nice tipping. It flexes from a medium to broad plus easily, and with just a little more pressure you get a nice double broad nib. The tipping is a little worn, especially on one tine, but it still has enough to keep it smooth.
Condition Excellent condition, though there is damage to the gold plated surfaces. Thanks to the material used the patterning looks just about perfect. The cap band is heavily brassed with many pitting marks. The clip and lever area also have some plating wear. There's some light handwear on the cap and barrel. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. It's fully restored and working well.
