Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen with unqiue filling system
Product Name Unknown.
Manufacturer and Year Evans, Waterloo, IA – circa 1920s
Length Barely under 5-1/2".
Filling System "Hump filler" similar to a crescent filler. You turn a ring gaurd-piece which allows you to press the fixed coin-like piece of metal down, compressing a sac the same way a lever filler does. We replaced the sac and it's working well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with a steel or nickel hump.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Evans 14k nib is smooth but has only a small amount of tipping material remaining on the tip of each tine. It's fully flexible with easy line variation from medium to double broad.
Condition Excellent condition. The color does not appear to have faded over the years and the chasing is quite crisp and unworn. The imprints are deep and mostly clear, though some are a little hard to read. There's hardly a scratch on the pen except for some small marks on the top of the cap which isn't perfectly rounded. Fully restored and working well.
