Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Skyline Demi
Manufacturer and Year Eversharp, circa 1940
Length Demi size, 5"
Filling System Lever filling system. We've restored it with a new sac and tested it extensively. It's working well.
Color Blue barrel with 1/10 14k gold filled cap. This version of the cap has lines running lenthwise and is called the Longitudinal Lined cap .... it is less common than the version with rings running around the cap, and this one has a gold derby too.
Nib MANIFOLD FINE (semi-flex) 14k nib, and the point seems like it's close to medium. The nib has lots of tipping material and feels very smooth, though there are some flaws and marks on the top side of it, though they do not affect the writing at all.
Condition Very nice condition. There are a few very small dings in the cap and a few flat spots on the derby. There's a little brassing here and there, on the edges of the clip, the lip of the cap, and the band between the derby and the cap, though none of the brassing is especially obvious (see photos). It's certainly a used pen, but it's still quite attractive with this uncommon and desireable cap. The gold and rich blue color go very well together, and the pen is working well.
