Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year National Pen Company, Chicago, circa 1920-30s. The pen is not marked, but it does have a clip with the flower and vine design you see on other National pen lines such as Lincoln. National Pen created good quality pens for their own pen lines, and also produced pens for various retail chains.
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System Lever filler (restored with new sac.)
Color Black hard rubber with gold filled trim. Pink end on cap. The clip is imprinted with a flower on a vine.
Nib Warranted #3 14k nib is fine and only semi-flexible.
Condition Excellent condition. There is some handwear on close inspection, but the pen still looks shiny and nice. There is light scratching above the threads probably caused by the threads on the cap. There are a couple of barely noticeable nicks or dents on the section. A little brassing on the ball of the clip, which doesn't quite rest on the surface of the barrel. Writes very well.
