Product Name Parker 51 Vacumatic
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - 1943 (the date code is a clearly visible 3)
Length Full size pen - 5-9/16"
Filling System Vacumatic system (Piston/plunger). We've fully restored it and it's working well.
Color Black body, brushed steel (Lustraloy) cap with a blue diamond gold filled clip (the blue paint is good). Bluish pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib FINE 14k nib. It looks like it's verging on the larger side, maybe a medium-fine. Nice and smooth, with lots of iridium.
Condition Very nice condition. There's some lesser scratching on the cap along with a few tiny marks in the lustraloy finish where it looks like there's just a tiny bit of pitting. No cracks in the plastic or dents in the cap. The jewel is a modern reproduction. There's some lesser scratching on the barrel, and the blind cap is a bit scratched. Still the pen looks very sleek and nice, and is working very well.
