Product Description
Type Vacumatic filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Vacumatic Junior. The "Junior" model was the standard size, but with minor differences in furniture from the slightly higher-end versions.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, Canada - early 1953 (The date code imprint of 53 with three dots is very clear on the barrel). While Parker US ceased producing Vacs in the late 1940s, the Canadians continued until 1953. The nib was made in the USA.
Length 5 inches.
Filling System Vacumatic plastic plunger filler. We've restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working very well.
Color Laminated Emerald Pearl green striped color with gold plated trim, a split arrow clip, two thin cap bands, and a black cap jewel.
Nib MEDIUM Parker USA two-tone gold nib is smooth and fairly firm with lovely tipping material. Probably a replacement from a more expensive Vac. The silver colored masking is fairly worn, which has no effect on its writing.
Condition Excellent condition, no cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There's small spots of brassing on the clip and cap bands, and small scratches on the cap and barrel. The color is excellent, with a slight variant from a more yellow-green toward the blind cap, and a more blue-green toward the cap jewel. The imprint is just a little worn, mostly very clear and readable. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
