Product Name Parker Duofold Senior (Streamlined)
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1930s.
Length 5-1/8" (Note that the Streamlined Senior pen was quite a bit shorter than the original Senior Duofold.)
Filling System Button filler, restored here at Peyton Street Pens.
Color Moderne Black and Pearl color. It started as a pearlescent marble mix with black veins but has ambered. It is now a yellow orange. The cap has two narrow bands on either side of a wider band in the middle.
Nib uncommon fine flexible gold nib. It is marked, "Parker Duofold Pen." It is a large nib with long tines that spread very easily. Please see the writing sample below. There is a crack in the nib that extends from the breather hole down 1/8 of an inch, but it is very stable and will not get worse unless the nib is over-flexed.
Condition Excellent condition. It is quite even in coloration, though the pearl has discolored heavily. The black hard rubber blind cap has lightened as well. Someone scratched the initials, "TA," into the top of the cap and the blind cap. There is minimal brassing and no cracks outside of the nib. The pen is fully restored and working well.
