Type Very small ring-top version of the Parker Jack Knife button filling "Safety Pen." (Please note this was just what they called the model, it's not technically a "safety pen" which usually describes a filling system with a retractable nib.)
Product Name In the Lambrou book this pen is just identified as a Jack Knife Safety Pen in vest pocket size. It could be a model 20 1/2, though the only marking on the pen is "Parker Fountain Pen - Gold Filled Patented" on the edge of the cap.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA – circa 1920.
Length 3-3/8" not counting the ring top hardware.
Filling System Button filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working very well.
Color Gold filled finish top to bottom, even the section is gold filled. This pattern has plain panels alternating with lined and wavy, or scaled panels.
Nib FINE FLEXIBLE Parker Pen Lucky Curve gold nib. It's smooth and has easy give. We're calling it full flex. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. It really looks beautiful with no plating wear and barely any handwear or polishing marks. The ring moves easily and the button is easy to push. The imprints and design are clearly delineated. No chips, cracks, personalization, or dents. It's fully restored and working well.
