Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Vacumatic Debutante, a slightly more upscale version of the small Vac model with a "blue diamond" clip and chevron cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- 1940s (The date code is no longer there).
Length 4-7/8" Debutante size
Filling System Vacumatic filling system, restored here at Peyton Street Pens. This is the late plastic plunger version.
Color Laminated black with gold plated trim. Cap band with an ornamental cap band. It's a more elaborate version of the more common chevron pattern. This seems to be the patterning used for the blue diamond clip debutantes. It has a black cap jewel.
Nib FINE 14k. It has good tipping and an unusual amount of the silver colored masking is present.
Condition Superior condition. The barrel transparency is fantastic and has no ambering. The pen has low handwear. Some cap marks from posting and capping, but no scratches. The imprint is easily read but missing a date code. The trim looks great. No cracks, chips, or dents. It's fully restored and working well.
