Product Description
Type Vintage Vacumatic filling fountain pen.
Product Name Vacumatic Junior. The Junior is more or less the same size as the Major, however it has two thin cap rings and a "split arrow" clip as opposed to the Blue Diamond clip.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1948 (The date code on the barrel is an 8 with three dots).
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Later Vacumatic filling system. We have fully restored it with a new diaphragm and it's working perfectly. It has the plastic plunger.
Color Laminated Black with gold plated trim and a black cap jewel. Thin double cap band and a split arrow clip. It looks solid black from a distance but has semi-transparent bands visible when held up to light.
Nib FINE gold arrow style Parker USA nib. It's smooth with nice tipping, and is fairly springy.
Condition Very nice condition. There is a crack on the cap lip in line with the breather hold and another shorter crack right next to it. The crack is very narrow and hard to notice but we do not recommend posting the cap. There are also two slightly worn parts of the barrel that line up with the cap lip, caused by capping and posting. They're hard to see, but easy to feel. The imprint is legible and the trim is in good condition. The barrel transparency is also good. In hand the pen looks great.
