Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Parker Vacumatic "Long Major", it is the same width as a Major but is longer.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in Canada -- 1952 (the date code is a clear 52 with two dots). It's marked Canada on the nib and barrel.
Length 5-3/8", about 1/4" longer than a Vacumatic Major.
Filling System Vacumatic plunger filling system has been restored here at Peyton Street Pens and is working well. This has the late plastic plunger system.
Color Golden Pearl body and cap with gold plated trim. It has alternating brown pearl bands and semi-transparent amber bands. The cap has a black cap jewel and a chevron patterned cap band just over 1/8". It has a blue diamond clip.
Nib FINE 14k nib. It is smooth and springy with nice tipping material. The nib is made in Canada. The nib shot looks like the nib has scratches but those are mostly reflections and the nib looks quite good.
Condition Excellent condition. It has some handwear, but the barrel transparency is strong and there is very little plating wear. The imprint is legible.
