Parker 51 Special Fountain Pen - Aerometric, Navy Grey, Medium (Very Nice, Works Well)

Type  Vintage Aerometric filling fountain pen.

Product Name  Parker "51" Special ... this was the low end of the Parker 51 product line, generally found with steel nibs, shiny smooth caps, and black cap jewels.

Manufacturer and Year  Parker, made in USA - post-1952 (the year they stopped using date codes).

Length  Full size pen, 5-7/16".

Filling System  Aerometric squeeze filling system. It's working well.

Color  Navy Grey body with a steel cap, chrome plated trim, and a black cap jewel.

Nib  MEDIUM steel nib is very smooth and firm with lovely tipping. 

Condition  Excellent condition except that the cap shows lots of very light scratching, and a mark around it from the clip having twisted around (though it is firmly in place now). There's some wear on the black cap jewel, and microscratching on the clip. The rest of the pen looks great, with just light scratching on the underside of the section and on the clutch ring. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, real plating wear, or personalization. It's working very well.

Domestic US Shipping Policy: For the most part, shipping to US addresses is free and is made via first class mail.

International Shipping Policy: International shipping is based on weight, and we give you a choice (depending on country) of first class, first class registered, priority mail or express delivery (only Express Mail provides true tracking). Internatonal shipments valued at over $40 come with free insurance, unless that service is not available for your specific country. Most of our customers opt for the very reasonably priced first class mail method, which can take anywhere from one to four weeks. We are happy to discuss alternatives to the options currently offered during the checkout process, so please contact us if you'd like a quote.

Most countries charge customs fees on shipments from the United States, but this is not something we can estimate and there is no way to pay these fees in advance. It is the responsibility of the customer to anticipate these costs and pay them when they are assessed by your country or postal system. We have heard that shipments valued at 50 EU or more get assessed fees in EU countries, for example.
