Filling System Takes Pilot converters. A piston converter is installed. It can also take Pilot and Namiki cartridges but an adapter is required.
Color Abalone shell pieces are hand inlaid in a brick pattern over shiny black lacquer. It has rhodium plated trim. The barrel says, "Urushi" on it which verifies that it is hand lacquered.
Nib FINE 14k nib, very smooth. It has rhodium masking to match the trim. Japanese fines run narrower than German ones so expect a fine to extra-fine writing experience.
Condition Near Mint condition. The abalone seamlessly merges with the rest of the pen. The finish is very even. There's light handwear throughout but it is most noticeable on the clicker and cone. No chips, cracks, dents, or scratches. In Namiki box, but it is not the original box.
