Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Sheaffer 3-25 (there is an impression at the top of the cap that reads 3-25, that means the pen was priced at $3.25 when it was new.)
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA -- late 1920s/early 1930s
Length 4-9/16"
Filling System Lever filler (restored with a new sac)
Color Orange radite (the same color as red hard rubber, but it's plastic). Gold plated trim.
Nib 3-25 gold fine nib is in excellent condition with a lot of tipping material. Very little flex, but a bit of spring to it so that it doesn't feel like a nail.
Condition Excellent condition with light wear and scratches. Excellent imprint. The trim has some brassing on the lever, but the cap bands are good. There is one short crack in the cap lip that only makes it halfway to the band... it's very tight and does not open up. The cap should not be posted or you really will make a serious crack. A nice vintage pen that would be great for every day use.
