Product Description
Type Nib unit.
Product Name Sheaffer's produced these nibs for their Connaisseur pens. ... They made a few different nib styles and they are not all interchangeable. Here's a knowledgeable discussion on FPN that might help you determine if this nib will fit your pen. This is the Type III nib, the largest, intended for the Grand Connaissuer. But do yourself a favor and read the post to be sure it will fit your Connie.
We can confirm it fits the Levenger Connaisseur pens. It did not fit a few of the Sheaffer Connaisseurs we tried it in ... if you look in the barrel and see a few ridges that start about 1/2 inch in, this nib unit will not fit that pen. (Apparently Sheaffer was willing to file down those ridges for people who wanted to use this nib with the threaded collar.)
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- late 1980s or 1990s.
Filling System This works with the converter/cartridge filling system.
Color Black section with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE nib marked Sheaffer's 1920 18k 750 with a chevron of palladium plating making it two-tone. It's smooth with lovely tipping material, and has a touch of flex to it. The nib size is not marked, but we are judging it to be a fine.
Condition Excellent, though it has been inked. Light wear on the nib and section.
