Product Name Sheaffer Lifetime Triumph 1250. This model is the slender, war-time version with the wide cap band.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA, circa 1942
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Vac-filler (works well, just restored here at Peyton Street Pens).
Color Carmine striated with gold plated trim ... the cap band is approx. 7/8" wide. White dot.
Nib 14k masked large Lifetime Triumph nib - medium, no flex, super smooth.
Condition Excellent condition with some plating wear. No cracks, chips, or dings, though there are the typical fissures we see on these striated pens at the very ends (we've never seen them crack). There is handwear on both the trim and the plastic. There is brassing on the clip, particularly on the ball of the clip, but none that we can see on the cap band. The blind cap screws to the barrel leaving a tiny tiny gap. The clip is a little bit loose and there's about a 1/16" gap between the ball of the clip and the surface of the cap. Good barrel clarity. No personalization. It's an attractive pen.
