Product Description
Type Snorkel filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Statesman
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, made in U.S.A. -- 1952-9.
Length 5-5/8 inches.
Filling System Snorkel filler. We've fully restored it with a new sac, O-ring, and point gasket, and tested it to ensure that it's working well.
Color "Pastel green" cap and barrel (a little lighter than it looks in our photos) with gold plated trim and a 3/8 inch wide cap band with a groove near either edge of it.
Nib MEDIUM palladium silver Triumph style nib (though the nib metal or size is not marked). It's smooth and firm with nice tipping material, and has a definite "Waverley" lilt to its tip which aids in smoothness.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, or plating wear. There's some light handwear on the cap and barrel, and some microscratching on the trim. The barrel imprint is crisp and readable. The pen has been fully restored and it's working very well.
