Filling System Lever filling systemfill. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well, The pencil takes .9mm leads.
Color Gold filled finish with black section and end. The gold finish is in a pattern of groups of six and then two lines. The black end has threads on it for posting. White dot on the barrel.
Nib FINE verging on the extra fine. Lifetime two tone open nib. It's smooth and firm, with nice tipping.
Condition The fountain pen is in very nice condition. There's just some light scratching on the black end piece, and a few very light scratches on the section. There's some light scratching and a few very small indents in the gold filled finish, two in the barrel and one in the cap. There's just a tiny bit of brassing on the very top of the cap and on the end of the lever. It's an uncommon pen, fully restored and working well, and it looks quite beautiful.
The pencil is near mint and quite a bit better than the fountain pen, with no personalization.
The fountain pen barrel is engraved "G.H.F. to R.H.G." (see photos). The pencil is not engraved.
