Product Description
Type piston filling fountain pen.
Product Name Etruria (this was the the first version, just called "Etruria.") This version is no longer being made. Marked #2131. This is the larger of the two original Etruria sizes. Some people call this size "Grande" but we couldn't confirm an official name.
Manufacturer and Year Stipula, made in Italy -- 1990s.
Length 5-5/8" it's not much longer than the other size but it's much thicker
Filling System Piston filler. The filling system is working well. We had it restored by Stipula in the last month or so.
Color Cellulose acetate in a reddish brown marbled color and 8k trim (333 hallmark). The celluloid is beautiful with a deep brown and a gold flake-like lighter brown.
Nib EXTRA FINE 18k two-tone nib is smooth with a lovely tipping material. The tip leans a little to the left, but we tested and adjusted it for smoothness and it is writing well.
Condition Excellent + condition. It has no cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The hallmarks and imprints are legible on the cap band but the ones on the underside of the clip aren't. There's a bit of microscratching on the clip and the barrel band. The leaf patterns are well defined. The pen is working very well, we've fully cleaned and tested it.
