Product Description
Type | Vintage pen which works beautifully and has an expressive nib |
Product Name | Model 12 PSF ("Pocket Self-Filler" aka lever filler) |
Manufacturer and Year | Waterman - circa 1915 |
Length | 5-1/4" |
Filling System | Lever filler (We have replaced the bladder and it works very well.) |
Color | Chased black hard rubber with gold filled trim |
Nib | The nib is marked Waterman Ideal New York 2.... The nib is in really good condition, with lots of tipping material. You'll get nice extra fine to broad line variation, which we consider to be full flex. This is not one of those super or ultra flexible wet noodle nibs. Don't go by what we call it, you should reply on the writing sample, because every one uses a different scale of reference for flex. See writing sample below. |
Condition
|
Very nice condition. It's a little lightened in color in places from exposure to sunlight. No cracks or chips in the screw-on cap. The gold filled surface on the edge of the clip is rough, and it's flaked off from a few small places on the clip such as the surface of the rivets. The imprints are excellent. It looks as though the lever box has been repaired (not done by us). The filling system has been given a new bladder, so the pen should work for years. |
