Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil.
Product Name This pencil likely matched a 52 1/2 fountain pen.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA – circa mid 1920s.
Length Barely under 5-1/4".
Filling System Takes 1.1mm (aka "thick) leads, which it extends via the traditional twist mechanism (you twist the cone). We'll include a small pack of leads.
Color Smooth Cardinal red color with gold plated trim.
Condition Very nice condition. The ball of the clip seems to be missing, a common phenomenon on these pencils, and there is a small crack in the very tip of the cone. Otherwise the pen has just some handwear and very light scratching on its body, as well as a scratch just above the cap band and some lighter marks on the top piece. The cap band is a little worn and shows light plating wear on its edges, but no brassing. No dents or dings, no personalization. The imprint is quite clear and readable. Working very well.
