Product Description
Type Vintage mechanical pencil
Product Name This is the 100 Year Pen's matching pencil, the earliest version with the military style clip that arches over the top.
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, USA -- 1940s
Length 5-1/2", this should be the largest size available.
Filling System Takes 0.9mm (or "thin") lead refills. Extends lead via the traditional twist mechanism. It extends properly but doesn't retract the leads anymore. There's a chance that a fresh lead could be better gripped by the mechanism. As is, the leads twist out and must be pushed back in.
Color Solid black body with a ribbed pattern in the middle. One large band with a thin one on either side. Gold plated trim.
Condition Excellent + Condition. Some handwear but not a lot. The pencil cone looks good. There's a bit of plating wear on the edges of the clip and it looks a little thin on the main band but overall the pencil looks great, one of the nicest we've seen.
