Product Description
Type Waterman fountain pen in box
Product Name Lady Charlotte -- this was an unusual small fountain pen that was packaged with a pen sleeve
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, France -- circa 2000.
Length Pen is 4-1/4" capped
Filling System The most straight forward way to use this pen is with Waterman mini cartridges. We will enclose one of these small cartridges.
Finding a converter that fits will be more challenging, as it takes one of the two types of Waterman CF converters which are no longer made. We modified a Monteverde mini converter as a substitute and it is installed and works well. It fits loosely in the section and is held in place when you screw on the barrel. It is easy to nudge the converter out of the section, so you need to be careful when removing the barrel. The converter by itself doesn't leak so it shouldn't be a problem but please be aware that it's a tight enough fit in the barrel to be easily nudged by it.
There is a small amount of variation between the openings of the international cartridges and this pen is finicky. We recommend sticking to Waterman brand mini cartridges.
Color Solid black color with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE 18k single tone nib. Very smooth. The section is labeled F. This is a plain nib with minimal markings.
Condition Excellent + condition with light plating wear. The pen looks great with low handwear and the plating wear isn't even immediately obvious but the crown of the cap has brassing and looks a little silver-colored. There is also a small scrape on the cap where the brassing is. Packaging includes box and pen sleeve as well as the adapted converter.
