Product Description
Type Full size fountain pen with a very flexible nib
Product Name The barrel is marked "Capitol Cabinet".
Manufacturer and Year Aiken Lambert, New York - circa late 1910s-20s
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the bladder and it works very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with nickel plated hardware.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE 14k marked merely "14k A.L. Co." Somewhere between a fine and medium. Springy and smooth, but not flexible.
Condition Excellent condition. Very slight pitting along the sides of the clip and the lever, but both of those are still strong and doing their jobs well. The chasing pattern is quite strong. There is some fading, as evidenced by the dark portion underneath the cap, but it's still fairly dark. The imprint looks really good. It's quite a beautiful piece, restored and working well, with a desirable nib. No cracks, chips, scratches, or personalization.
