Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen and pencil combination in excellent working condition
Product Name It is marked "Ensemble" on the barrel, but you usually see the Ensemble pens with a plain cap band and lacking the embedded crescent, so we think this might have been part of the higher-end Endura line.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio, 1920s-30s
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it works great.
Color Black and white marble celluloid. Gold plated trim.
Nib Gold Conklin Cushion Point nib. Fine, semi-flex with some nice mild line variation. See sample below.
Condition Restored and ready to write. No cracks or chips, and there some brassing on the edges of the lower cap ring and on the top of the clip. There's some crazing of the celluloid under the surface on the cap.
The pencil works properly, though there are a few toolmarks on the cone which you can see in the last photo below.
