Product Description
Type Lever filling vintage fountain pen
Product Name Probably the Glider model.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Chicago, 1939 to late 1940s
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and tested the pen and it works great.
Color Striped grey and red. The grip section is black with a transparent ink window. The trim was lightly gold plated, but the plating is largely gone. We have yet to see one of these that wasn't worn in the exact same way!
Nib 14k gold Conklin Cushon Point nib. Fine, with some flex. Good tipping material in evidence. See our writing sample in the photos.
Condition Excellent condition with good looking celluloid, but there is quite a bit of plating wear which is common for this Conklin line. There is a chip on the edge of the section. The edge of the cap is quite nice, and fairly smooth. The imprint is strong and clear. The feed looks great. The ink viewing winder is very clear.
