Filling System Conklin crescent filling system (push-actuated). There's a band that you rotate beneath the crescent on the barrel to prevent the crescent from being pushed when you're traveling with it. The sac has been replaced.
Color Black chased with sterling trim. The wide cap band has a Mark Twain signature etched on it.
Nib Medium 14k two tone nib.
Condition Excellent + condition in box. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a good sized, shiny pen. There is light capping wear on the barrel and some scratching toward the end of the barrel. There is light wear on the cap band and the clip. The "Conklin" logo on the clip has some of the black paint worn off towards the end, but is mostly intact. The crescent is excellent. The imprints are clear.
Excellent + condition, in box, with paperwork. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a good dized, shiny pen that looks impressive. The chasing is perfect on both the cap and barrel that are in mint condition. The crescent has some tiny scratches especially along the edges and on both sides. The cap band has light tiny scratches with a tad of plating wear on the lower edge near the hallmark. The clip has some plating wear along the edge of the end of the clip and on the ledge of the top of the clip. The white box and inner silk lining are in beautiful condition. All imprints and hallmarks are clear.
