Product Description
Type fountain pen, lever filler
Product Name Conway Stewart 475
Manufacturer and Year Conway Stewart -- 1940s (England)
Length 5-3/16"
Filling System The pen fills via a lever. We replaced the bladder and it is working well, and we will guarantee the filling system for a year.
Color Black chased hard rubber with gold plated trim. We believe that the hard rubber might have been treated with a coating of something to blacken it, as you can see a faint crackling of the surface on the smooth areas.
Nib MEDIUM-BROAD Flexible 14k nib. Please see writing sample.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, dents, or dings. This is a dark, black, clearly chased pen in a classic design. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and moderate scratching. There is an area above the lever that is somewhat crackled when examined with magnification. The lever has brassing, plating wear, and some pitting along the right side. The cap has moderate scratching, some surface crackling and heavy scratching on the cap lip. The clip looks nice with its matte gold surface. The imprints are very clear.
