Product Description
Type Vintage button filling fountain pen and mechanical pencil set
Product Name Duofold Junior (Streamlined).
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA, 1931-33. The burgundy and black color was introduced in 1931, and Parker ceased US production of the Duofold in 1933.
Length Fountain Pen: 4-11/16".; Mechanical pencil: 4-3/4"
Filling System The fountain pen has a Button filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well. The mechanical pencil takes 1.1mm leads.
Color Burgundy and black body with black endpieces and two narrow cap bands. The trim is gold plated. The mechanical pencil is the same color, and features a 1" gold nose cone.
Nib MEDIUM Parker nib is smooth and firm with great tipping material. This one has a serial number.
Condition Very nice condition. Both pieces are fairly smooth and shiny, and their coloration is lovely with minimal fading. The fountain pen has one major flaw -- quite a few bite marks on the end of the barrel (detailed in the pictures), and a smaller number on the blind cap. The trim looks really good, just a few spots of brassing on the clip. Imprint looks really good and is easily readable. The pencil has some brassing on the clip. Nose cone looks good. There are some smaller marks on the top of the pencil, but it looks much better than the pen. Imprint is clear and easily readable.
Both pieces are personalized with the name "Rev. Paul C. Noffze" and the years "1899 - 1934" on a second line.
