Color Dark blue marble barrel with sterling silver overlay cap etched with a scene of Bonaparte and his horse. Roman numerals MCDCCCIV (1804) engraved in the silver.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, heavy, impressive pen with beautiful marbling and nicely etched sterling silver cap. The barrel has light scratching with a few small clusters of scratches. The cone has a vew dots of wear but overall it looks very good. The blue marble cap lip has a few little scratches. The sterling silver cap is excellent and all the iconography is intact. The clip has some tiny dots of wear as well as some tiny scratch marks. The top of the cap looks nice. The imprints, including edition numbering, are excellent.
