Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name Esterbrook Pastels, First Generation (the jewels are black)
Manufacturer and Year Esterbrook, USA - 1954-57
Length 4-3/8" long
Filling System The pen is a lever filler, which we have restored with a new sac. It's working great.
Color Salmon pink with chrome trim and black end jewels.
Nib #1551 firm medium (student) nib. It's in great condition, fairly smooth, with nice "tipping".
Condition Excellent + condition. Light handwear and microscratching, but no major scratches. No staining on the cap or barrel, or barrel threads. The trim looks really good, no brassing or serious wear. The jewels are perfect. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprint is slightly worn but easily readable. Fully restored and working well.
The Purse/Pastel pens and pencils were made with a more fragile plastic than other Esterbrook pens, and it's common to find cracks in the cap lips, but there are none here. Because of this, we suggest that you do not post this pen, or use extreme caution in doing so.
