Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Symphony, model 701
Manufacturer and Year Eversharp, made in USA -- 1949-50.
Length 5-9/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Burgundy body with a stainless steel cap, gold trim. The burgundy is very dark and is apparently darker than the first version of the burgundy Symphony. The trim is gold plated and includes the clip and a narrow band set in the cap.
Nib SEMI-FLEXIBLE FINE Eversharp 14k nib. It writes smoothly. See writing sample below.
Condition Very nice condition. The pen looks very good but there is some wear on the cap. There is a dent opposite the clip and the clip is a bit wavy itself. The cap lining will shift down a franction of an inch if you pull on the cap instead opf unscrewing it, but pushes back into place easily. This is common with both Skylines and Symphonies. We've fully restored the pen and it is working well.
