Condition Mint condition in box with paperwork. We replaced the sac, and the button-filler mechanism works perfectly. Pen is in perfect condition with no scratches or cracks. The barrel of the pen is engraved with number 997/1008. The top of the clip has an engraved portrait of Lincoln, and the cap ring is engraved with his signature. There's a nice booklet with some information about Lincoln's life, two of his most famous writings (the Emancipation Proclamation and the Gettysburg address), as well as the process used to obtain and incorporate his DNA in the pen. Certificate authenticating that Lincoln's DNA is captured in the pen. The booklet has a leather cover, which is just a tiny bit too small to hold a Field Notes notebook. This is all enclosed in a lovely wooden box with a portrait of Lincoln on the lid. In Krone cardboard outer box.
