Product Description
Type Luxury Italian fountain pen
Product Name Privilege
Manufacturer and Year Montegrappa, Italy - 2001 (this number is stamped on a band around the section, and we're confident that this is the year that the pen was made).
Length 5-1/2" - this is the large version.
Filling System Standard international cartridge/converter. A converter is installed.
Color Sterling silver with sapphire blue resin cap band, section, and end (faux) blind cap. The silver has a Greek Key pattern engraved in each of the octagonal facets. The cap has a cherub to the right of the clip and a space for personalization.
Nib 18k 750 two-tone fine nib. Soft and smooth. (Note: we cannot actually see the 750 marking on the nib, as this line is hidden underneath the section. We have seen corroborating evidence of the 18k content around the internet, so we're confident of our assertion).
Condition Near mint condition. No dents or dings, or major scratches. There is slight tarnish on the cap near and under the clip, which only really appears in the photos; in hand the silver looks nice and uniform. There are light polishing marks, but the overall look is quite smooth and shiny. The engraving is crisp and clear. No box or paperwork.
