Filling System Fitted with a Pilot button converter (CON-70). With nib submerged in ink, press the button on the end of the converter and let go. Wait 3 to 4 seconds and repeat about 4 times. The ink capacity is greater than a normal twist converter. It also takes Pilot cartridges.
Color A black pen with painted bonsai. The trim is gold colored. Signed "Kokkokai", the group of Maki-e artisans that Pilot has assembled.
Nib FINE 14k Namiki-branded #5 nib. Japanese fine nibs are generally finer than most modern western fine nibs. The nib is in excellent condition.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box. There is no wear at the edges of the painted shapes and no evidence of worn off gold flecks or wisps on the pen. No visible scratches, or cracks or chips. Very light handwear. No brassing or plating wear on the trim. Comes in box with paperwork and outer cardboard box. The flap on the outer box is torn. The inner box has a faux leather covering, which is peeling off and crumbling.
