Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen in working order.
Product Name 51 Aerometric.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1950s-60s (There is no date code, so it was made after 1952) .
Length 5-3/8".
Filling System Aerometric squeeze filling system.
Color Cocoa with a stainless steel "Lustraloy" cap and an arrow clip. Pearlescent cap jewel.
Nib Fine gold nib is in excellent condition with good tipping. It's nice and rounded for smooth writing. A little wider than we usually see, but we can't bring ourselves to call it a medium.
Condition Excellent condition, with some wear. The cap jewel looks really good, with just some tiny shallow marks in the surface, but nothing that would qualify as a dent. The cap has microscratching all over, and one small bit of pitting to the right of the clip. The clip has brassing and plating wear along the high-touched parts (sides, top surface, open end). There are some small scrapes on the section hood, likely from replacing the cap. No cracks or chips on the section hood. The barrel has light handwear and scratching, but no discoloration. No major scratches or personalization. It's working very well.
