Product Description
Type Mechanical pencil with the "repeater" mechanism.
Product Name Parker "51" pencil.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- 1950
Length Standard size pencil, 5-3/16 inches.
Filling System Takes 0.9mm (or "Thin") leads, which it extends by the cap-actuated, or "repeater" mechanism - you click the cap down to extend a lead, very similar to modern day mechanical pencils. The mechanism is working very well. We'll include a small packet of leads.
Color Black body with a Lustraloy steel cap, the arrow clip and a pearlescent cap jewel.
Condition Very Nice condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or personalization. No dents on the cap, but there is a fair bit of plating wear on the clip, which is clearly shown in the photos below. Definite handwear all over, and the imprint is almost worn down, but the date code is clear. It's working very well.
Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a nice-sized, classically-styled pencil. The barrel is nice and shiny with just some microscratching. The cap is in beautiful condition. The clip has some dots of pitting along the front edge. The striped cone looks great. The pearlescent jewel is a bit middled in the center. The imprints are clear.
