Filling System Takes Parker-style cartridges and converters. The bottom of the box has four semi-dried black cartridges and a piston converter is installed.
Color Solid yellow (Mandarin) with black end pieces and gold plated trim. It has three cap bands and a single band on the black section.
Nib Medium 18k nib is smooth. It is marked M on the feed.
Condition Excellent condition in box, with papers. The cap and barrel look great, with just very light microscratching. There is ink staining inside the cap. There is a crack mid-way thru the barrel threads, which is highlighted by the ink staining - see photos for a detailed look at this area. The crack does not extend to the edge of the barrel, and does not open up when the section is unscrewed. We have adjusted the price by about $200 to reflect this flaw. The trim ring on the end of the section is hallmarked and 18k gold. The cap bands and clip all look great with no plating wear. The imprint is very clear and crisp. It has all the special paperwork and boxes.
In the pictures, you'll see that the medallion on the cap top has ink; we've removed nearly all of that post-photography.
