Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Duofold Senior
Manufacturer and Year Parker, USA -- Late 1920s.
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Button filler. A new sac has been installed and tested.
Color Red (orange) permanite with gold plated trim and black end pieces. The cap band is the pair of narrow bands introduced in the late 1920s.
Nib Fine gold Parker Duofold nib. Excellent tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition. The cap bands show some plating wear, as does the clip to a lesser extent. The cap is in good condition, just slight handwear, with no cracks. The barrel has some horozontal capping lines, and small scratches at the back end from posting. It has a few marks throughout.
The barrel imprint is the really interesting part of this pen. It does not have the usual Duofold imprint. Instead, it simply says "Compliments of Falls Garage Inc" and then about 1 cm away there is a letter D. The printing matches Parker's usual style, and everything else is correct for a Duofold Senior of this era. We think this was probably sold without the Duofold imprint so that it could be personalized with this advertising.
