Product Description
Type Vintage button filling fountain pen in a hard to find color.
Product Name Duofold, Senior, streamlined version. Please note that the streamline Seniors are shorter than the earlier Duofold Seniors which were approx. 5-1/2" in length.
Manufacturer and Year Parker, made in USA -- circa 1929 (it has a 1929 style imprint, that was the first year of the streamlined pens).
Length Just over 5-3/16" inches (the streamline senior Duofold is just a bit shorter than the earlier version.)
Filling System Button filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Mandarin Yellow brightly colored body and cap with gold filled trim and two thin cap bands. You can see the original color on the area of the barrel that was protected from fading by the cap. The color is darker mid-barrel.
Nib Medium (like a modern fine) gold Parker Duofold Pen nib is quite large.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a fat pen in a bright, shiny color and with a classic design. The main issue is that the color has faded, particularly noticeable on the barrel. The cap and barrel have light to moderate wear and scratches. The black end piece of the barrel is slightly faded and it has a few light bite marks. The two gold cap bands have some scratching and plating wear along the edges. The clip has plating wear on the ball. The imprint on the barrel is faded, but readable. The imprint on the clip is clear.
