Product Name Parker Vacumatic Maxima. The Maxima was the largest Vacumatic model and the successor to the "oversize" pen with the lockdown filling system, with a fatter barrel and cap and a bigger nib.
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - 1937 (There is a .37. imprinted on the barrel.)
Length 5-5/16 inches (Maxima size).
Filling System Vacumatic speedline filler is in working condition. The filling system has been restored by us with a new diaphragm, and it has been tested. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.)
Color Burgundy pearl and black barrel, cap and end jewels. The barrel has transparent horizontal lines. 1/4" gold Chevron style cap band. Striped jewels (matching pen coloration) on top of cap and end of barrel.
Nib MEDIUM-FINE Parker two tone nib. Excellent condition with plenty of tipping material, no flex.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large-sized, beautifully colored, very shiny pen with excellent barrel transparency (see photos). The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip and moderate scratching just above the blind cap. Some wear on the blind cap and on the gold band at the end of the barrel. The cap has moderate scratching to the left of the clip. The cap band has light scratching but the chevron pattern is clear and there is no plating wear. The clip and clip band have small scratches. The top and bottom jewels have light scratching; they look nice. The imprints are clear.
