Product Name Parker Vacumatic Maxima. The Maxima is the largest Vacumatic model, with a fatter barrel and cap and a bigger nib.
Manufacturer and Year Parker USA - circa 1940. There is a 0 with three dots imprinted on the barrel.
Length 5-5/16 inches (Maxima size).
Filling System Vacumatic speedline filler is in working condition. The filling system has been restored by us with a new diaphragm, and it has been tested. (We will guarantee the filling system for one year from purchase.)
Color Golden brown barrel and cap with ambered transparent horizontal lines; 1/4" gold stacked coin style cap band (aka Jeweler's band); striped jewels matching pen coloration on top of cap and end of barrel. Blue diamond clip.
Nib Fine 14k nib. Feed is marked A for accountant, indicating a firm nib and consistent line width.
Condition Excellent condition. This is a large-sized, beautifully colored, very shiny pen with great barrel transparency. The barrel has light marks caused by the cap lip. Some of the nib masking is polished away. The cap has marks near the top. The stacked coin cap band is lovely. The clip has plating wear along the edge and on the open end. The blue diamond is perfectly intact. Both jewels have small marks, possibly tooth or tool marks, and brassing along the edges. The imprints are clear.
