Manufacturer and Year Pick Pen Co., Cincinnati, Ohio -- 1920-33.
Length 4-7/16", excluding ringtop hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and its working well.
Color Black hard rubber with a gold filled filigree overlay. There are no hallmarks or indications of gold content.
Nib FINE gold Pick #4 nib is smooth with good tipping material. Semi-flexible. Springy, not particularly soft, with good line variation from fine to broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. Light scratching and handwear. Brassing and plating wear on the edge of the cap, and small spots of brassing scattered all over the filigree. The black hard rubber is still fairly strongly colored, and only a bit faded. No cracks or dents. The nib imprint (the only one we can find on the pen) is very clear. The filigree detailing is still strong and quite nice. It's fully restored and working well.
