Product Description
See this pen in action on youtube. (Ignore the writing and text about it being a blow-filler!)
Type Handmade ebonite pen with aerometric filling system and a vintage Waterman flexible nib.
Product Name This is one of our Peyton Street Pens exclusives, and we call this model "Soquel." This is the version with a clip.
Manufacturer and Year Ranga Pens of india made the ebonite components, and adapted a Chinese Hero aerometric filling system. The vintage Waterman nib is from the 1930s or 1940s.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Aerometric (squeeze) filling system. (Please note that squeezing the aerometric filler a few times will get the pen about half full, meaning the section and lower part of the sac will be filled. This will provide quite a bit of ink, more than a conventional cartridge. In order to fill the pen more completely, you have to squeeze the filler a few times while it is in the ink, then carefully wipe it down, point the nib at the ceiling, and give the pen a little shake or flick with your fingernail to get the ink to move into the top of the sack. Then you can put the nib back into the ink and squeeze the filler again, and this will add some more ink.)
Color Smooth ebonite with green and orange ripples and a gold colored clip.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE vintage Waterman Ideal 14k nib, probably from the 1930s-40s. It's very flexible and soft feeling, almost full flex. Extra nice line variation from fine to a nice broad with very little pressure. See writing sample below.
Condition All components are brand new, never used, except for testing.
