Filling System More formally called a thumb filler, this is commonly called a sleeve filler. The end of the barrel can be pulled away from the section to reveal an open area with a sac and pressure bar. You compress the pressure bar to fill the pen with ink. A new sac has been installed.
Color Black chased hard rubber (BCHR) with gold filled trim. There is an ornate 1" cap band with a swirling floral pattern.

Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a striking pen with a wonderful wide cap band that hides the filling system. The chasing is beautifully intact and the color is dark. The cap looks fantastic. The barrel has scratching caused by the filling system movement. The gold band is perfect and beautiful. The imprints are clear.
