Product Description
Type Vintage snorkel filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Admiral Snorkel, in a less common color
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer USA -- 1952-9.
Length 5-1/2" long.
Filling System Snorkel filler. We've restored it with a new sac, point gasket, and O-ring. It's working perfectly.
Color Sage Green body and cap with gold plated trim and a 1/4" cap band. This is one of a couple of less common colors.
Nib FINE 14k #5 nib, marked F2. It is correct for the Admiral model. It's smooth and firm with nice tipping material and has a little spring.
Condition Excellent condition. Microscratching and light handwear. There is a small chip on the edge of the section, right near the nib, which you can see in the pictures. There are also some tool marks on the section; they interrupt the grooved pattern. Neither of these have any effect on the pen's function. The clip and cap band both look really good. There are no major scratches or personalization. The imprints are clear and readable.
